The Maryland First-Time Homebuyers Savings Account

For Stronger Maryland Families

The Maryland legislature is now considering a First-Time Homebuyers Savings Account that would allow families to set aside a tax-free down payment of up to $5,000 a year on a home purchase. Please contact your legislators today and tell them you support this innovative idea.

The Maryland First-Time Homebuyers Savings Account will make homeownership more affordable in Maryland and build stronger communities in our state. This program will also give parents and grandparents the opportunity to contribute toward their children’s future.

And, our economy will benefit through increased homeownership: From insurance and furniture to appliances and small business home contractors, the Maryland First-Time Homebuyers Savings Account will mean jobs and security for Maryland families.
